Fishchbach & Moore Electric, Inc. was originally founded in 1918 by a Romanian immigrant Harry
Fischbach and has since become an electrical public works contractor rich in history.
In 1924, Harry Fischbach teamed up with engineer Robert E. Moore. Their first major
contract was awarded in 1927. The partners took on a $1 million project for New York's Holland
Tunnel. Other large contracts soon followed, including the construction of the Chase Manhattan Bank,
Chicago's Prudential Building, New York's an Am. The energy company Exelon purchased Fischbach
& Moore several years ago to add to the energy company's infrastructure of services. Since its
inception, the nationwide electrical contractor has been called upon across the country to manage
and execute to perfection some of the nation's most important and intricate landmark electrical projects.
The most recent owner, Exelon, gradually started to sell or close their offices around the country, except for their
office in Boston. Looking ahead, the Boston based Fishchbach & Moore team will continue to operate with
the same level of excellence gained as their experience as a national contractor with an eye towards a local focus.
